Information & Project Support Attorney
Information & Project Support Section - Full-Time; Anchorage

The Information and Project Support Section is recruiting for a full-time attorney to serve in the Anchorage office. The attorney will advise and represent agencies in connection with the communication, retention, protection, and disclosure of information—e.g., in connection with responding to Alaska Public Records Act requests, conducting electronic discovery, and using collaboration tools, social media, and agency websites. The attorney will litigate; propose legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures; testify before legislative committees; and interact with the public.
The applicant should be knowledgeable about the application of technology to the practice of law; litigation, including discovery, trials, and administrative proceedings; and administrative law. The applicant must possess strong writing and speaking skills.

Salary will depend upon the legal background and experience of the selected candidate. The State provides a comprehensive state benefits package to regular, full-time, partially exempt positions.
