Juneau Man Indicted on Sexual Assault Charge

(Juneau, AK) – On April 22, 2021, a Juneau grand jury indicted Daniel Foster for one count of sexual assault in the first degree. The indictment is based upon an incident that took place on January 13, 2020 at a Juneau hotel. Foster (an employee of the hotel) is alleged to have entered the victim’s hotel room where the incident in this case took place. The victim and Foster were known to each other at the time of the offense.
The case is being prosecuted by the Juneau District Attorney’s Office. If convicted at trial, Foster faces up to 99 years imprisonment. The charges in the indictment are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. Foster is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
