Anchorage Man Indicted for October Murder in Fairview

(Anchorage, AK) Yesterday, an Anchorage grand jury indicted 26-year-old Christopher Ligons ("Ligons") for killing George Tretikoff and Marie Guy Riley on October 31, 2020, inside a Fairview apartment. Ligons was indicted on two counts of murder in the first degree, two counts of murder in the second degree and one count of tampering with physical evidence in the first degree.
If convicted at trial, Ligons faces sentences of up to 99 years imprisonment for each of the murder charges and up to 5 years for the tampering with physical evidence charge.
These charges are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. Defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Ligons is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections. He will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Anchorage on January 29, 2020.
