Juneau Man Indicted On Sexual Abuse Of A Minor Charges

April 20, 2021

(Anchorage, AK) – On April 1, 2021, a Juneau grand jury indicted Stephen Gailliot for one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree.

The case is being prosecuted by the Juneau District Attorney’s Office. If convicted at trial, Mr. Gailliot faces up to 99 years imprisonment. The charges in the indictment are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. Mr. Gailliot is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Mr. Gailliot is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections in lieu of posting $75,000 bail. His next scheduled court date is on May 19, 2021 at 2:30 in Juneau Superior Court.
