Fairbanks Man Sentenced for Distribution of Indecent Material to Minors

The Office of Special Prosecutions announces that on March 1, 2013, 23 year old Edward Gullion of Fairbanks, Alaska was sentenced to prison for distribution of indecent material to minors. Fairbanks Superior Court Judge McConahy sentenced Gullion to spend six months in prison. Upon his release from prison, Gullion will be on probation for three years and will be required to register as a sex offender for fifteen years. If Gullion violates his probation conditions, he could be sent to prison for another eighteen months.
Gullion was arrested in September 2012 following an undercover investigation by investigators from the Alaska State Troopers and members of the Alaska Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Gullion initiated an on-line chat conversation on Yahoo Messenger with an undercover investigator who had the persona of a 13 year old female. During the course of the chat, Gullion masturbated via webcam to the undercover persona and asked to have sex with the undercover persona.
