Anchorage Pharmacist Convicted of Forgery

On March 11, 2013, 42-year-old Anchorage Pharmacist Ronald Engberson was convicted of forgery. An investigation by the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing revealed that Engberson had forged more than 90 prescriptions for himself between 2009 and 2012. During that time period, Engberson was the Pharmacist in Charge of a local pharmacy.
Engberson forged prescriptions for 27 different types of medications, including controlled substances such as hydrocodone, lidocaine, and diazepam. At Monday’s hearing, Engberson was convicted of felony forgery and sentenced to two years probation.
