(Fairbanks, AK) – On Friday May 15, a Fairbanks jury found 44-year-old Cedar Sarten of Fairbanks guilty of one count of Murder in the First Degree and one count of Murder in the Second Degree for the 2024 killing of her five-year-old son. Sarten faces a sentence of between 30 and 99 years.

(Anchorage, Alaska) - Today, Anchorage Superior Court Judge Jack McKenna sentenced 41 year old Jason Allan Karpinski to 10 years in prison for two counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, to be served consecutively.
