Fiscal and Accounting
Provide centralized fiscal and accounting functions for the department, including accounts payable and receivable, travel coordination and reconciliation, inter-departmental payments for core services, payroll accounting adjustments and oversight, and grant accounting.
Oversight of the development of department fiscal policies and procedures as well as overall adherence to governmental accounting practices. Provides training to office managers on all department accounting practices and procedures.

Timekeeping and Billing
Calculate and revise the federally approved cost allocation plan and the department's attorney and paraprofessional rate structure; manage the Civil Division's full-time attorney and paraprofessional time reporting system (ProLaw); generate and reconcile client billings for internal legal services. Process statewide outside counsel payments under contract, bill client agencies and maintain contract ledgers.
Development of annual cost allocation plan and rate setting methodology. Assist attorneys and case management staff in pointing cases to the appropriate funding sources. Act as the billing administrator and provide ProLaw system training, trouble shooting, and ad hoc reporting.

Serve as a liaison between the Department of Law and the Division of Personnel to collaborate and coordinate problem resolution across all functional areas. Effective May 1, 2018 manage and administer Family Medical Leave to include the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Alaska Family Leave Act (AFLA).
