Anchorage Man Sentenced for Child Sex Abuse

On February 15, 2013, Anchorage Superior Court Judge Michael Wolverton sentenced 29-year-old Daniel Anderson of Anchorage to spend 17 years in prison for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl in 2010. Judge Wolverton also sentenced Anderson to 15 years of probation following his release from prison. Anderson will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Anderson was arrested following an investigation by detectives from the Anchorage Police Department Crimes against Children Unit. The investigation also involved Alaska CARES, a clinic that provides sexual and physical abuse evaluations of children.
