Anchorage Man Convicted of Sexual Assault

On October 14, 2013, 45 year-old Lawrence Luke of Anchorage was convicted by an Anchorage jury of sexually assaulting a 29 year old woman under some landscaping trees in a corner of a parking lot in midtown Anchorage.

On the afternoon of July 31, 2012, a security guard from a nearby building called 911 to report the sexual assault in progress. The security guard and three other witnesses saw Luke sexually assaulting the unconscious victim.

Superior Court Judge Phillip Volland scheduled Luke’s sentencing for January 13, 2014. Based on his history of prior convictions, Luke faces a sentence range of 10 to 25 years.
