Sentencing Scheduled for November 1 for 2011 Murder

On November 1, 2013, 23-year-old Michael McEvoy will be sentenced in Anchorage Superior Court. McEvoy was convicted following his plea to murder in the first degree on August 2, 2013.

McEvoy’s conviction came as a result of his intentional shooting of Mozelle Nalan in the 3200 block of Doris Street in Anchorage on June 30, 2011.

Superior Court Judge Phillip Volland will sentence McEvoy tomorrow in Courtroom 404 of the Nesbett Courthouse beginning at 9:00 a.m. The hearing is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
