JBER Soldier Sentenced for Misdemeanor Assault

Following his guilty pleas to Assault in the Fourth Degree and Violating Conditions of Release 22 year old US Army Specialist Cameron McMorris-Jackson was sentenced by District Court Judge Jo-Ann Chung.
Prior to imposing sentence Judge Chung heard from McMorris-Jackson. McMorris-Jackson, an Afghanistan war veteran, apologized to the victims of his crimes for his behavior. Judge Chung further learned McMorris-Jackson was diagnosed as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Judge Chung sentenced first-time offender McMorris-Jackson to 360 days with 270 days suspended, placed him on probation for 3 years, fined him $1500, ordered him to obtain alcohol abuse treatment, attend anger management, pay restitution to his victims and have no contact with the women he injured.
