May 28, 2014
On May 27, 2014, an Anchorage jury found 57 year old Randy Lee Osborne guilty of robbery in the first degree. Osborne committed the robbery in January 2013 at the Mountain View Shell Station. An employee at the Shell Station reported to Anchorage Police that a man identified as Osborne told him to turn over the money or else he would shoot him. Osborne was previously convicted in a double robbery homicide in 1976. He was on parole release at the time of the Shell Station robbery.
Osborne is scheduled to be sentenced on October 2, 2014. He faces a sentence of at least 15 to 20 years in prison and could face a sentence of 99 years.
