The Fairbanks office consists of sixteen prosecutors and seventeen support staff. We prosecute violations of criminal law in Interior Alaska, which includes frequent trials, significant pre-trial motion practice, daily court hearings, and some post-conviction and appellate work. In addition to the six superior court judges, three district court judges, and two district court magistrates in Fairbanks, this office also covers the Tok, Galena, Delta Junction, Nenana, and Fort Yukon courts and two rural court magistrates.
Additionally, Fairbanks has a satellite office in Utqiagvik, which prosecutes violations of law across the vast majority of the North Slope. That office consists of two prosecutors and two support staff and practices in front of one superior court judge and one district court magistrate.
